Giving Back

We believe that serving others should extend well beyond company walls

As a commercial cleaning company founded on service, we believe that serving others should extend well beyond company walls.  From the top down, JAN-PRO of Atlanta and each of its employees are encouraged to devote their personal time to serving the community.  The following represents just a brief list of organizations we continue to proudly support in our efforts to create a better Atlanta.

If life were a fairy tale, no child would be abused…
The cold reality is that many children are abused.

SafePath LogoThat is why the focus of SafePath is the child: bringing together, in one centralized location, the members of the community who can help provide the support the child victim and the family need to have their opportunity to live happily ever after.

SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center, Inc. is a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children who have been abused. SafePath’s mission is to reduce the trauma to children and their families by offering a comprehensive, professional, and child-friendly approach to the allegations of child  abuse.   SafePath ensures a less traumatic, child-focused approach to child abuse cases by bringing together professionals from law enforcement, the district attorney’s office, therapists, healthcare professions, DFACS, and other agencies, to all work together as a collaborative team.

SafePath provides unique services for children in our community.  While other entities provide food, shelter and other physical assistance to families in need, SafePath focuses on lessening the trauma experienced by innocent victims of abuse, both children and their non-offending caregivers.  SafePath understands and strives to prevent the initial trauma from being compounded by the system designed to investigate, prosecute and prevent future abuse.

Your Family First Scholarship

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”
— Benjamin Franklin

Introducing the Who, Why, What, How, When & Where of the Your Family First Program.

JAN-PRO welcomes you to the Your Family First Scholarship program designed to help families of unit franchisees just like yours offset college expenses. We know you’ll have a lot of questions so we’re listing some answers right here. If you don’t see your question answered your local master franchise owner will be glad to help.

Who Qualifies to Apply for a Your Family First Scholarship?

Unit franchisees, their spouses or dependent children may apply.Unit franchisees must have been in good standing for at least two years at the time of application. Employees of franchisees, or of JAN-PRO are not eligible. Students applying must be high school graduates by July 2014, or be current post-secondary undergraduates, or at graduate level.

Applicants must plan to enroll in full or part time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational-technical school for the 2014-2015 academic year. One application, per unit franchise, per year.

Why Is JAN-PRO Introducing Your Family First Scholarships?

For three basic reasons: Our franchisees often refer to building their businesses as creating a legacy for their families, and there is no greater legacy than a good education.

Second, college educations are becoming more expensive every year so Your Family First is designed to help offset some of those rising costs.

JAN-PRO believes in giving back to, and in other ways recognizing its community of hard working independent franchise owners.

What Scholarships Are Available?

There are three levels of scholarships available for the 2014-15 college year in the amounts of $1000, $2500 & $5000 all funded by your local master franchise owners. Qualifying franchisees can nominate one family member each to apply in the first year. Scholarship America, our partners in the program will grade applications and identify up to four finalists per master franchise owner.

Each master owner will then select up to two scholarship winners and will determine at that time the value of each scholarship they will offer. JAN-PRO corporate will fund all of the other costs associated with the program so that the full value of each master-awarded scholarship reaches the winning applicants.

How Are These Scholarships Awarded?

Applications will be graded according to academic achievement, community leadership and participation, work experience, family income, and financial needs. All winners will be announced in December 2014. Once the winners are confirmed Scholarship America will then issue checks payable jointly to the winners and their chosen schools.

When Can My Family Apply for a Scholarship?

Applications must be submitted between May 1 and July 31, 2014. You may submit one application per qualified franchisee, per year. The scholarships are not renewable, however franchisees may reapply in following years, provided they meet eligibility requirements.
